Provisioning in Replicated, Mission-Critical Environments
Installing, upgrading, and maintaining operating environment software and unbundled products in a mission-critical environment can cause unwanted down-time if not managed correctly. This article introduces some of the latest technologies that enable rapid Solaris Operating Environment (OE) installation, software upgrades, and patch management in high availability environments. These tools and techniques enable system administrators to perform quick, consistent, controlled, and reproducible Solaris OE installations and upgrades.
