Although none of the major toolkits fully supports WAP 2 at this time, Nokia offers XHTML and CSS editors in their latest (WAP 1.2.1–compliant) toolkit. Refer to http://forum.nokia.com/main.html.

Openwave has split its browser development into a Universal Edition and a WAP Edition. The WAP Edition mobile browser is a solution with a shorter time frame that supports the WAP 1.2.1 release and WML 1.3. This browser is currently supported by the Openwave WAP Edition SDK 5.0. The Universal Edition mobile browser promises support for WML, XHTML, HDML (proprietary to Openwave), and cHTML (used by I-Mode). As of this writing, there is no SDK to support this edition. Both browsers support a more graphical interface, as shown in Figure 1.
