The PRM marketplace is undergoing a fundamental change. The role of Siebel Systems on the demand chain-side of this marketplace is having the unifying effect of building eChannel functionality, while at the same time providing PRM vendors an opportunity to bring their applications to the Global 2,500 customer base that Siebel has so successfully cultivated. More than ever before, the emerging role of the post-sales aspects of PRM is now having a definite effect on the way metrics are being used. Warranty management, Market Development Funds (MDF) administration, and the definition of how returns are handled are all topics that are defined within the post-sales arena.
