Filling Out a Form

Naturally you want to ensure that your form is working properly. You also want to set a good example for your coworkers in responding promptly to the information request. As a result, you'll naturally be the first to fill out the form and get those results back to the SharePoint site.

Here is how you (and everyone else) can fill out the form:

  1. On your SharePoint site, click Documents and Lists.

  2. Click your form in Document Libraries.

  3. Click Fill Out This Form. It will launch in InfoPath in the Fill Out a Form mode.

  4. When you're finished entering data in the fields, use the Save As command to save the completed form to the site, giving your name as part of the filename.

Figure 6 shows how the completed forms look on SharePoint Server.
