LinkedIn Today
If you want to stay on top of what's happening in your industry and are short on time, check out LinkedIn Today at http://www.linkedin.com/today, shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1 View personalized news, based on your LinkedIn network and profile.
To view your personalized news, you must be signed in to LinkedIn. If you're not, click the Sign In link and enter your email address and password. No two members see exactly the same content on LinkedIn Today, which is why it's more relevant than scanning the headlines on a traditional online news publication.
LinkedIn Today shows you what people in your network and industry are currently sharing on LinkedIn and Twitter. The top five most-shared articles display in rotation at the top of the page.
As each article is featured, you can view how many times it's been shared as well as images of the people in your network who shared it (pause your mouse over their picture to view a pop-up with contact details). Use the Share and Save links in the upper-right corner to share this article with others or save it for future reference.
You can also access LinkedIn Today by selecting LinkedIn Today from the News menu on the global navigation bar. Depending on your past LinkedIn activity, a LinkedIn Today section might also display on your personalized home page.
