Summary
The security problems that you can encounter on a simple local area network are many. When the network is connected to the Internet, the possible avenues of attack are greatly multiplied. In this chapter, you looked at only a few of the potential threats that you can be subject to from the Internet. In the next chapter, you will examine some of the strategies that can be used to construct a firewall and how this can help to protect your network from these new security problems.
