Determining a Course of Action

My advice remains to devise a good plan. In part 1 of this series I addressed defining the tasks for the move project, and then breaking them down into attainable steps. Once you know what needs to be done, pull your team together to talk about the scope of the project:

  • Determine who needs to do what.

  • Draw up a timeline using project-management or spreadsheet software.

  • Work with your move team to make sure that you're not missing any pieces and to coordinate schedules.

  • Work with the vendors so that they get the equipment on order in time to be installed by your deadline.
