This chapter helped you to create your office framework, taking into consideration the large concepts that contribute to an office space. These large concepts include the size of the space, the furniture in it, the layout of the furnishings, the color scheme, and the accessories and personal items you choose. You learned how to make scale drawings, as well as design an office space that is comfortable and attractive. We also briefly touched on controlling paper clutter. You will learn more about that subject in Chapter 8.
Chapter 4, "Time Management at Work," will discuss effective time management at work. This subject includes choosing a planning tool, handling interruptions, combating procrastination, and other tips on using time wisely.
