Use Local Employment Resources
For large-scale PowerPoint production in off-site locations, you may need some local help. Find out which local resources are available ahead of time. The Internet is an excellent place to begin your search. You can also check with your local temporary help agencies because many have affiliate offices, both here and abroad.
For a project that must be completed in just a few days, interviewing potential contract help upon arrival is cumbersome and time-consuming.
Make contacts ahead of time, and be very explicit about your project's skill requirements. Conduct interviews via phone or email, and make arrangements so that contract help is ready to work when you arrive at the off-site location.
If you end up in an international location, keep language requirements in mind as well. It won't do you much good to have a PowerPoint expert that you can't communicate with.
