Introduction
For your e-business to be successful, it's important to understand the profile of your audience, and your web site should be designed to cater to the needs of that audience. It's also important to understand that, just like in the non-web world, buying is a process (not just an action); therefore, you should focus on helping your customers in their decision-making process as well as make your web presence usable. This is the first article in a two-part series that addresses the issues in designing web sites for e-businesses. This article focuses on providing general tips for e-business web sites; the next article will discuss tips to design for a specific audience.
