The Personal Cost
At the end of the day, it's not about your company or your boss. It's about you!
Those of us who work full time spend about half our waking hours working. This is the half in which we are at our most awake, most productive, and most attentive. Add the time we spend getting ready for work, commuting, and thinking about our jobs, and we see that we are using the majority of our lives to work. It had better be work we like!
Job-related misery robs us of our best, most productive days and years. It increases stress and illness, causes fatigue, shortens life, ends marriages, separates families, and destroys quality of life.
