Now that you know a bit about graphics, you're ready to start putting them on your own Web pages.
In FrontPage, graphics are added to a Web page as it is being edited. You can do this in lots of ways: You can drag a file from a folder or Windows Explorer; copy it to the Clipboard and paste it on the page; choose Insert, Picture, From File; or click a button.
The last option is the easiest, so it will be used in this section.
To add a graphic to a Web page, follow these steps:
Open the page you want to edit.
Place your cursor at the spot on the page where the graphic should be displayed.
Click the Insert Picture from File button on the standard toolbar.
Choose the graphic and click Insert. The file is displayed as part of the page in the editing window, enabling you to see how it looks immediately.
The Picture dialog box appears. Use this box to find the folder that contains the graphic. Can't remember the name of the graphic you want? Click the arrow to the right of the Views button and select Thumbnails from the pop-up menu that appears. Little thumbnail-size images of each graphic will be displayed, as shown in Figure 3.2.

When a graphic is placed on a page, the rest of the page content moves to make room. Text and other page elements flow around or below the image. To move the graphic, click and drag it to a new spot.
Although it appears that the graphic has been merged with the Web page, it remains in its own filethe one you selected with the Picture dialog box.
