Features
This edition recognises and is updated to cover several evolving trends in how people (especially seniors) use social media, as follows:
- Where the first edition of the book was PC-forward, this new edition gives equal weight to using various social media on PCs and mobile devices. As such, the separate chapter on using social media on mobile devices has been deleted, replaced by mobile-specific instructions in each chapter.
- Coverage of Twitter is moved more prominently in the book, immediately after the Facebook coverage, and expanded into two chapters.
- A new chapter has been added on dealing with fake news and urban legends ("Separating Fact from Fiction Online").
- To make room for the new coverage, the chapter on social games in the previous edition has been eliminated.
- All step-by-step instructions and figures are updated to cover the most current versions of all social media.
