Jonathan Bown

Jonathan Bown is a Principal AI Engineer at Western Governors University (WGU), where he leads teams building scalable AI solutions for more than 200,000 students and employees. A founding member of WGU's MLOps team, he helped develop a patent-pending platform that accelerated enterprise AI deployment, and he recently led the development of WGU's student pre-enrollment AI agent, the real-world project that inspired many of the practices taught in this course. Jonathan has delivered production AI and machine learning solutions across banking, fintech, marketing, higher education, and sports. He holds a masters degree in computer science from The University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in Statistics from the University of Utah.
