Veeru Mehta

Veeru Mehta designed a programming language as his first computer science project in 1990. Since then, Veeru has been working on programming languages, with particular interest in their compilers and translators, as well as on natural language processing. After working with COBOL, Pascal, PL/1, Fortran, C, and C++ compilers for several years in various capacities at Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and Wipro, he has been primarily working with static and dynamic compilers for Java for the last five years. At present, he works on Java and J2EE performance issues for HP systems. Veeru has a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. He lives in the silicon valley with his wife Navdeep.
