Nicholas Wright Gillham

Nicholas Gillham is the James B. Duke Professor of Biology emeritus at Duke University. A leading expert on the genetics of cellular organelles, he has a longstanding interest in the history of science. He is the author of more than 100 research papers and four earlier books. His current book has developed from a seminar course that he taught at Duke University called “The Social Implications of Genetics,” which dealt with eugenics and modern human genetics and the many interconnected ethical problems.
