Kristofer Layon

Kristofer Layon is a designer and product manager. Kris divides his time between leading product management and user experience design for Red Stamp, doing independent web and mobile design projects, and writing for New Riders, A List Apart, and others. He has also spoken internationally at conferences including SXSW Interactive, HighEdWeb, MobX, and his own Two Apps Per Day mobile workshops.

Since 1996, Kris has worked with dozens of clients including universities, architects and engineers, healthcare organizations, city governments, museums, artists, musicians, retailers, and the U.S. National Park Service. In addition to designing web sites and mobile applications, Kris has also taught design and typography in the University of Minnesota’s College of Design. And from 2008-2011, he was the founding director of MinneWebCon, Minnesota’s Web Conference.

Kris has an MFA in interactive design from the University of Minnesota, and a BA in German and art history from Saint Olaf College. He lives and works in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Follow Kris on Twitter, where he comments on design and reveals his addiction to Instagram.
