John Wargo

John M. Wargo is a professional software developer, product manager and writer focusing on mobile development and mobile development tools. He is the author of the popular introduction to PhoneGap called PhoneGap Essentials as well as BlackBerry Development Fundamentals the first book dedicated to BlackBerry development. He published almost 20 articles on mobile development for an IBM Lotus Domino focused magazine called The View, 16 of which have been published in an anthology called Mastering Mobile for Notes/Domino.

John currently works for SAP as a Product Manager for the SAP Mobile Platform and is responsible for some of SAP's products which use Apache Cordova. Previously he has worked for BlackBerry, BoxTone (mobile device management software) and AT&T (selling mobile applications and mobile application platforms). For many years he delivered application development services to enterprises as a consultant plus, as Vice President of Products for a consulting company he owned, created and managed delivery of several award winning software products.
