James Faure Walker

James Faure Walker has been exhibiting his work since the 1970s, and has been combining painting and digital approaches since the 1980s. His recent exhibitions include solo shows in Berlin and London and appearances at SIGGRAPH, Digital Salon New York, the John Moores, Prospects Drawing Prize, RA Summer Exhibition, and "1979" at Bloomberg Space in London. A founder of Artscribe magazine, Faure Walker's writings have appeared in Studio International, Modern Painters, Mute, Computer Generated Imaging, Wired, Art Review, and in catalogues for the Tate, Barbican, and SIGGRAPH. In 1998 he won the international Golden Plotter prize at Computerkunst, and in 2002 he was awarded an AHRB Senior Research Fellowship. Currently he is a research fellow at the University of the Arts, London.
