Peter Coffee is an Advanced Technologies Analyst for PC Week Labs. He writes product reviews of programming tools and engineering/scientific software, and technical articles on topics that have lately ranged from wireless communications to the mathematics of modern cryptography. In his weekly column, "PC at Work," Peter addresses technical, managerial, and social issues related to the needs of personal and departmental computing. He is also a biweekly contributor to PC Week's new on-line column, "Off the Cuff." Peterß³ column is ranked third most popular for PC Week readers. He has an engineering degree from MIT and an MBA from Pepperdine and has taught data processing, management science, and artificial intelligence at Pepperdine, Chapman College and UCLA Extension.
