Andy Ihnatko

Andy Ihnatko has been The Chicago Sun-Times' technology columnist for ten years and a columnist for Macworld and other Mac magazines for twenty. He is also a host of MacBreak Weekly, consistently rated among iTunes' top-ten most popular tech podcasts, and he frequently contributes tech segments to local and national news programs.

Although he covers all aspects of technology, Andy is so closely associated with Mac OS and iOS communities that both operating systems have been hardwired to spell and pronounce his last name correctly. "Dad was pleased and proud when I told him about that," Ihnatko says. "But less so when I demonstrated it. It's based on recordings of my own voice and unlike Dad, I'm a lifelong New Englander. Dad and his siblings pronounce it one way; I, and now tens of millions of computers, pronounce it differently."
