Pat Kirwan

Patrick Kirwan B.Sc. is a graduate of University College, Dublin, Ireland and is the Operations Manager and a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute in Europe. His research interests include the challenges associated with building large interoperable systems of systems as part of the Integration of Software-Intensive Systems (ISIS) Initiative. Pat was one of the primary initiator and is the co-technical lead for the Software Engineering Institutes Process Improvement in Multi-Model Environments (PrIME) initiative. He is a SEI qualified CMMI Introduction and CMMI Intermediate instructor and an observer of candidate CMMI Introduction instructors.

He has 18 years industry experience in banking, telecommunications and automotive domains. He has broad experience of testing methodology and test management of commercial computer systems. As an experienced consultant, Pat has helped clients improve their performance in software development and in the management of improvement programs in large, complex organisations. Patrick is a member of the IEEE and PMI.
