Havoc Pennington

Havoc Pennington began programming GTK+ before the release of version 1.0. He is one of the core developers of the GNOME desktop, the author of several components of the GNOME GUI libraries, and the primary architect of a new GNOME configuration database library called GConf, which is based on CORBA and XML technologies. Havoc has contributed to a number of GNOME applications, including a data analysis tool, a Linux package management tool, a PPP dialup configurator, an icon editor, a clustering configuration tool, and some small desktop utilities. He writes a weekly summary of GNOME development progress, and is the most frequent single contributor to the GTK+ and GNOME developer support mailing lists. Havoc currently works for Red Hat Advanced Development Labs, where he enhances the Linux desktop development infrastructure and user experience.
