Allison Hayward is been a practicing attorney in California where her specialties include federal election law, gift and ethics rules, lobbying disclosure, foreign corrupt practices, and related areas. She has published several articles on political law and campaigns. Ms. Hayward also served as the General Counsel to the National Republican Congressional Committee in 1999. She was counsel to the U.S. Senate Special Investigation of the 1996 election, known popularly as the "Thompson Investigation." Prior to entering law school, Ms. Hayward served as staff in the California Legislature. Ms. Hayward is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of California, Davis School of Law.
