Obie Fernandez

Obie Fernandez, editor of The Addison-Wesley Professional Ruby Series, is a 20-year veteran of professional software development, noted author and conference speaker. He is Chief Technical Officer of Andela, a venture-backed startup that aims to train one-hundred thousand young African men and women to be world-class software developers. He's been founder of YCombinator and TechStars-backed startups, and held leadership roles at prestigious consultancies such as ThoughtWorks and his own world-famous web agency, Hashrocket.
