Tom Shannon

Tom Shannon has been developing video games, visualizations, and interactive applications professionally for more than 10 years. Today, he works with video game studios, visualization houses, architecture firms, and engineering companies and individuals to develop games, applications, and visualizations using Unreal Engine 3 and 4. Thomas began developing architectural, engineering, automotive, aeronautical, and scientific visualizations using interactive, real-time graphics in 2004 when he was approached by Company 39, an engineering and architectural visualization firm looking to develop cutting-edge visualization in real-time for CAVE, VR, and simulators. He developed high-profile applications developed for the U.S. Navy, the London Olympics, and many other global clients using bespoke game engines and early middleware solutions such as EON Studio and Anark. Thomas is working as a freelance technical artist in the games and visualization industries. He develops interactive visualizations, virtual reality experiences, and AAA and indie PC and Console games for clients such as Honda, Hoyt Architecture, Parsons Brinckerhoff, 3D Realms, and Mektek.
