Cory LaNou

Mark Bates is cofounder and instructor at Gopher Guides, the industry leader for Go training, consulting, and conference workshops. He is a full stack web developer with almost 20 years of experience building high-quality, scalable applications for companies such as Apple, USA Today, Klarna, and Palm. The author of several technical books, Mark has spoken at conferences around the world, has led user groups such as Boston Ruby and Boston Golang, and has helped to organize conferences such as GothamGo and GopherCon.

Cory LaNou is cofounder and instructor at Gopher Guides, the industry leader for Go training, consulting, and conference workshops. He is a full stack technologist (except JavaScript, which he loathes) and has specialized in start-ups for the last 18 years. He was part of the Core engineering team of InfluxDB, a highly scalable, distributed time series database written in Go. Active in the international Go community, Cory has written several articles related to Go and has created and lead Go workshops and training courses. While thinking globally, he acts locally by organizing several regional technology meetups in the Midwest and mentoring new developers and aspiring entrepreneurs.
