Applying the Inner Shadow

Next, apply an inner shadow. With the top layer selected, follow these steps:

  1. In the Property inspector, click the Layer Effects icon (+ sign).

    A popup menu appears.

  2. Select Shadow and Glow, Inner Shadow, as shown in Figure 12.

    A small dialog box appears.

  3. Make the following changes to match Figure 13:

    • Distance = 0
    • Opacity = 65%
    • Spread = 5
    • Angle = 315

    Your top rectangle should look like the one in Figure 14.
