Another Listing Creation Option: Third-Party Auction Templates

In this chapter and the last, we've discussed websites and software programs that create and upload entire eBay auction listings. But maybe you don't need all those auction launching and management functions; maybe you just want to create great-looking eBay listings.

To do this, all you need is a program or website that provides predesigned auction templates. Once you access the website or download the template, you add your own title, description, and photos, and then generate the HTML code for the completed listing. Launching your auction, then, is a simple matter of copying the custom HTML code into eBay's sell your item page.

This process is a lot easier than it sounds, since you don't have to write the HTML code yourself; the template provides the code for you, no coding required. Some of these templates are free, some aren't, and some are provided for your use on this book's included CD. Learn more when you turn the page and read Chapter 4, "Using Third-Party Auction Templates."
