VNC

Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is an open source remote-control technology that has been around since the late 1990s. Something like 100 million copies of VNC have been downloaded, and it’s included in most popular Linux distributions.

As is often the case with open source, there are a number of products based on VNC, built with varying degrees of sophistication and features. This is a particular issue where security is concerned.
