Summary

A plethora of open-source tools and libraries are available for Java—too many to cover in a single article, and probably too many to learn in a single lifetime. If I've missed your favorite tool here, I'll try to do better next time. If the missed tool is particularly good, please let me know at OSS@ChaosEngineers.co.nz.

As I mentioned earlier, this article is part of an ongoing project. I'm building a database containing the information in this article: I'll put it online early next year. I'm also writing a book about this project, and I'm doing it all using extreme programming and almost purely open-source technology.

Once the web site is up (around March 2003), I'd love to receive reviews of your favorite tools. Please use the forms on the web site; the site will store your data in XML, making it easier for me to parse.

Thanks for reading this far, and thanks for your future support.
