In the next chapter we look at what happens when it comes time to select a migration strategy. Basically there are three main types of migrations: the in-place upgrade, the consolidation upgrade, and the combination upgrade. We look at each of these types of migrations and examine their characteristics, strengths, weaknesses, and potential pitfalls.
