Hopefully, the process that I follow in setting professional goals will help some of you who are stuck in the mud, trying to decide which road to take. If you set only one professional goal for the year, and if you work to achieve it, you are on your way to success in IT. If you have not set any goals, how will you know if you are where you want to be? Let me know your thoughts on setting professional goals.
You can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or post a comment on the InformIT.com discussion board. Now sit down with pencil and paper, and write down your primary goal, the reason you want to pursue it, and any comments. Then get to work. All the best.
