Small-office products run only on specialized hardware sold by intrusion.com and Nokia. They provide protection for anywhere from five to 50 IP addresses. Depending on the small-office product in question, some features such as authentication and encryption may not be available, or available as an extra-cost option. The licenses are tied to the system's externally accessible IP address. The licenses for the products are installed on the platform itself. In the case of the Nokia IP51, the license is installed on the management console.
