Using the Pixo Microbrowser for PCs

The Pixo Internet Microbrowser is a very good program that supports HTML and cHTML, which allows you to preview i-mode pages in these formats. You can download it from the Pixo Web site (http://www.pixo.com) and run it on a Windows PC.

When you launch the Pixo Microbrowser, a scrollable list of links to example wireless Web pages are displayed. You can browse these sites for examples of i-mode designs, or open your own pages in the simulator.

To open and view an i-mode page in the Pixo Microbrowser, do the following:

  1. Click the Options button on the handset display.

  2. Open URL option is highlighted, so click the OK button or hit the Enter key to select it.

  3. Upload your file to a Web server or use your own PC as a Web server, using Personal Web Server or Internet Information Server for Windows.

  4. Once your file is available online, type in that address and hit the Enter key.

Your i-mode page will appear in the Pixo Microbrowser screen.

To view the options while you are browsing an i-mode page, select the Options softkey (or type ")"). This will allow you to do the following:

  • Show Images
