Setting Up Additional Servers in One Location
The procedure for setting up additional Exchange 2000 Servers at the same site is similar to the steps that you used to create the first or only Exchange 2000 Server. The major difference between setting up the first Exchange 2000 Server and a second one is when performing step 11 in the preceding set of steps.
To add an additional Exchange 2000 Server to your organization, you should use the same procedure that you did for installing the original Exchange 2000 Server, but when reaching to step 11, you should click Join or Upgrade an Existing Exchange 5.5 Organization instead, and then click Next. The new server receives the site's configuration information from the specified Exchange 2000 Server and is added to the existing site. Continue through the end of the procedure for installing the only Exchange 2000 Server. Upon completion of the procedure, this newly added site will appear under your Exchange 2000 organization.
