A6, IPv6 Address

The A6 record is described in RFC 2874. A6 is an address record for IPv6; it is meant to replace the AAAA record. The A6 record has provisions, with the help of DNAME for supporting network renumbering. A6 is intimately tied to IPv6 addressing schemes and hierarchies—I refer the eager reader to the RFC for the details and usage of this RR.
