Educational Content Beyond iTunes U

In addition to the collection of educational content offered by iTunes U, Apple’s iBookstore offers free and paid educational and how-to eBooks. There are also educational audio books available from the iTunes Store and Audible.com that allow you to listen to educational information.

For interactive learning opportunities using your iPhone or iPad, the App Store is a resource for discovering educational content. Using instructional apps, you can teach a child how to read and write, learn basic math, or teach yourself more advanced skills, such as how to speak a foreign language. To find educational apps, launch the App Store app on your iOS mobile device, and then tap on the Categories option. From the Choose a Category screen, tap on the Education option.

Yet other way to access a vast amount of free educational content is to access the YouTube app and find how-to or instructional videos posted by everyday people, experts, and educators. From the YouTube app, use the Search field that’s displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen to find what you’re looking for.
