About the Author

Deepak Kakadia (deepak.kakadia@sun.com) is a staff engineer, network architect at Sun Microsystems Inc., Menlo Park, California. He has been with Sun for seven years, and previously worked with Corona Networks as principal engineer in the Network Management Systems group; Digital Equipment Corp, where he worked on DEC OSF/1; and Nortel Networks (Bell Northern Research) in Ottawa, Canada. He received a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems, a Master of Science in Computer Science, and has completed Ph.D. qualifiers and course work in Computer Science. He has filed four patents in the area of Network and Systems Management.
