So far, in this series, we've looked at envelope testing, and now content filtering. In both cases, there are actually many more techniques available than the specific examples we've discussed. However, even if you only ever use the ones we offer here, you can cut down the amount of spam sent to your users by a significant percentage—but not by using just one or another. The best spam-fighting technique of all is to take every one of the solid envelope testing and content filtering approaches and use them together. That's when you discover the true power of server-side spam solutions.
