Need More?

Need More?

I could go on and on. There are so many security settings in today’s Windows! There are so many unnecessary services to review and test! There are tools that let you peer into your system and see what is choking performance. There is the need to use RegEdit to implement some security features needed in even the home versions of Windows 7.

These are advanced topics for a home user, but I will write a follow-up article if you indicate the need in the comments section below.

But this article must end. You need time to back up important data, maybe load security tools, and maybe test these settings. You may need to upgrade old software—especially archaic software—that is less secure. New attacks change this list and may make some settings more important to make. In short, there are no guarantees with this article. Hacks happen! Review this article, read my blogs, and then let me know what you think in the response sections.
