Core i5 Mobile Processor Family

The Core i5 Mobile processor family, new in 2010, is a dual-core version of the Core i7 Mobile processor family with lower cache sizes and less aggressive Turbo Boost overclocking. Its major features include:

  • Two processor cores
  • 3MB intelligent cache memory
  • Integrated memory controller supporting two channels of DDR3 memory
  • PCI Express 2.0 support

  • Intel HD Boost (SSE4.2 instructions) support
  • Intel Direct Media Interface (DMI) interconnect between processor and chipset—2.5GT/s
  • Intel Turbo Boost overclocking

  • Intel 64 architecture
  • Based on "Arrandale" architecture
