What's the difference between a computer program and an application?

A computer program usually consists of one small executable file, whereas an application is made up of several programs that all contribute to an overall function. For example, Notepad is a Windows program, whereas Microsoft Word is an application with many functions.

Yes, you can combine as many as you might need to create a particular function on a form.
