Opening a File

When you save a document, the program saves the document information as a file with the name you entered and in the location you specified. The purpose of saving a document is to make it available for later use. You can open any of the documents you have saved. You can then make changes or print the document.

1.jpg Click File and then click Open.

2.jpg If you see the file you want to open, double-click it and skip the remaining steps. If you do not see the file you want to open, move to step 3.

3.jpg Click the arrow next to Folders to expand the list of folders on your computer.

4.jpg In the list of folders, navigate to the folder that contains the document you want, and then click the folder name to view the list of documents within the folder.

5.jpg Double-click the document you want to open.

6.jpg The document is opened.
