Tropical Island Surfing

Quan Li (196, 128, 22)

When resident Keala Mimistrobell came to Second Life she came to surf. Like many who are drawn to the sport, she found new friends in Second Life who shared the same passions. Together they built an in-world surfing community that reaches residents from around the globe. Their goals include creating the best handcrafted surf gear and passing a portion of the profits onto the real-world Surfrider Foundation. First and foremost, it’s a place for real-life surfers (and those far from the beach) to enjoy the best virtual surfing around.

This project is supported by the Namiko Surf Co.—who offers surf boards and other gear through its various stores. For more information please visit their website at http://www.namikosurf.com.

Kowwabunga! Once you get the hang of it, surfing is a ton of fun. The waves come in nice sets so no need to wait for that “perfect wave.”

There are many designs to chose from at the Namiko Surf Co. store. All these boards are very high quality and come well scripted.
