Pontiac Garage

Pontiac (139, 128, 12)

Pontiac was the first major automobile manufacturer to create a location in Second Life and has been followed by other car companies like Nissan and Scion. In a technique that has been embraced by a few major corporations, Pontiac gave away free surrounding land to artists and builders to “create a vibrant car culture within the community.” The residents responded with a sleuth of proposals for stunt tracks, bikini car washes, and a scotter shop. Many of these proposals have been turned into extensions of the Pontiac SIM and are available for you to visit.

You can also test drive some of the latest models of Pontiac cars like the Solstice GXP. Test drives are free and give you four minutes to tear around the track and even customize your ride. If you would like to take one home, you can even purchase the vehicle. Best of all (at least for now) there are no pushy car salesmen to bug you while you tour the location.

Taking the Pontiac Solstice GXP for a test drive on the high-speed track.

Covering several SIMs, this location features tons of tracks and many cars you can rent or even buy.
