In Second Life, you can do just about anything you do in first life (and many things you never could). With freedom like this, you get a wealth of options for entertainment, many of which include social activities like dancing and games with new friends. So get ready to have some fun as we explore some of the best virtual entertainment available.

The first question I usually get asked about Second Life is “What do you do there?”. This can be a difficult question to answer because there really is so much to do. How do you sum it up in a nice little package for someone? Well, it’s best to first realize that you can do just about anything you do in first life (and many things you never could). With freedom like this, you get a wealth of options for entertainment—many of which include social activities like dancing and games with new friends. So get ready to have some fun as we explore some of the best virtual entertainment available.

Phat Cat’s Jazzy Blue Lounge

Phatland (175, 45, 26)

Phat Cat’s Jazzy Blue Lounge is one of the premier dance clubs in Second Life. The theme here is ballroom with many residents gracing the dance floor in beautiful flowing dresses and tuxedos. An element of romance is certainly in the air and, in fact, it was romance itself that helped to create this location. Resident Alix Abruzzo now runs this club along with a dedicated staff. Phat Cat’s is a wonderful and safe place to dance and make new friends.

The Dance Floor

This spacious dance floor is equipped with pose balls for just about any dance you can think of. Appropriately, the pink balls are for ladies and the blue are for gentleman. Most dances do require a partner to work correctly.

The Host

At almost anytime of the day you’ll find a Phat Cat host to greet you at the door. These residents are very welcoming and glad to answer any questions you may have. They are also here to keep visitors safe and will routinely ban any users causing trouble or “griefing,” as its known in Second Life.

The Bar

Just like in real life, the bar is a good place to relax, enjoy the dancers, and hopefully make a new friend. You can even get a drink or two if you need to build up a little liquid courage.
