C++ classes and inheritance aren't inherently incompatible with embedded programming. If you're selective, you can enjoy the benefits of object-oriented programming in a restricted environment. Furthermore, even if C++ isn't possible for your specific project, you can create C interfaces that mimic C++ class concepts.
