Putting Multimedia on a Web Page
The following sections show you how to add some audio and video to a Web page in three ways:
- The "old way" for maximum compatibility with all Web browsers
- The "today way" that's best for Netscape Navigator 2, 3, 4, and 5 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 3, 4, and 5
- The "new way" that doesn't work well with any existing Web browser, but will be the official standard technique for the future
In the ActiveX section of Hour 18, you'll discover an alternative approach to embedding multimedia that works especially well with Microsoft Internet Explorer.
