Day 11. Extending HTML with XHTML

Over the next few days, you'll begin to see XML at work. You'll start with the XML application that has probably the most authors today—Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML). XHTML is the W3C's version of HTML 4.0, written entirely in XML (and the W3C is responsible for HTML in the first place, so it knows something about the subject). By using XHTML, you can create Web pages that not only work in today's browsers but can also be checked to make sure they're well-formed and valid. You'll put XHTML to work today and tomorrow.
